Xiamen, Fujian – The 7th China Aquatic Animal Health and Fish Disease Conference, the 2nd China Aquatic Functional Feed Development Summit, and the 1st China Aquatic Animal Health Raw Materials Expo took place successfully from November 27 to 28, 2024, in Xiamen, Fujian. Organized by the Aquatic Frontiers and China Aquatic Frontiers Expo (CAE), this high-profile event aimed to discuss the latest industry trends, new products, and technologies, fostering the transformation and upgrading of industry enterprises, distributors, and aquaculture professionals toward a cooperative and mutually beneficial future.

Bringing together nearly 600 experts, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders from across the country, the event served as an annual gathering for professionals in the aquatic animal health sector. The conference covered a range of critical topics, including innovations in research and development of aquatic products, solutions for parasitic infections in fish, the effectiveness of viral disease prevention products for aquatic animals, and the application of novel immune-function additives.

The event received strong support from a wide array of organizations, including the Xiamen Modern Agriculture Association, the China Fishery Association Aquaculture Inputs Branch, the China Fishery Association Aquatic Animal Health Branch, the Henan Fishery Association Aquatic Inputs Branch, and the Taizhou Aquaculture Industry Innovation Development Institute, among others.

 

With 13 thematic presentations, the conference addressed diverse issues, such as the development of new products for aquaculture, the role of astaxanthin in aquatic animal health, and the emerging diseases affecting species like the mandarin fish and sea cucumber. Notably, the conference also highlighted the epidemiological analysis of the parasitic disease affecting the yellow croaker.

 

This year's event was a great success, with engaging discussions and valuable networking opportunities that are expected to drive future collaboration and growth within the aquatic animal health industry.
