Nanjing, March 16, 2024 - The "2024 4th Aquaculture Environmental Control Technology Exchange Conference and Potassium Monopersulfate Industry Summit Forum" concluded successfully at Hall 6 of the Nanjing International Expo Center. Over 120 industry-renowned experts and elites attended the conference.

During the conference, experts pointed out that in recent years, water treatment products for aquaculture have become a hot topic of concern. According to relevant data, the use of oxidants such as potassium monopersulfate to regulate water quality in aquaculture production is quite common. Over the years, potassium monopersulfate-related products have maintained stable growth, unlike some products that are short-lived. They have become essential in aquaculture and have attracted increasing attention and participation in the industry. Experts emphasized the importance of dataization of application results, whether in animal protection or aquaculture enterprises.

Experts indicated that potassium monopersulfate still has significant room for growth in the aquaculture sector. Research and development of new formulations and processes to better address existing issues in aquaculture, such as how to complement microbial ecology and bacteriophage preparations on the basis of potassium monopersulfate, were discussed. Through exchange and collision of ideas, improving technical quality, exploring market space, and expanding business strength were highlighted as key strategies.

The conference featured five theme reports, among which "Comparison of the Sterilization Effects of 50% Potassium Monopersulfate Compound Powder Domestic Products and Discussion on the Oxidation of Potassium Monopersulfate Bottom Modification Products" discussed recent hot topics. "The Ecological Essence of High Yield and Stable Production in Aquaculture" addressed the core elements of high yield and stable production, receiving high attention from experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs. "The Five Red Principles for Selecting Oxidants for Water Improvement" constructed a data-based model for comparing different oxidants, providing important theoretical guidance.

Furthermore, the conference showcased experimental comparative data on the specific effects of two potassium monopersulfate compound salts, one produced domestically and the other internationally, in the aquaculture sector. Experimental results showed that both products exhibited excellent bactericidal activity at high concentrations (5.0 mg/L). While the domestically produced potassium monopersulfate compound salt product showing higher bactericidal effectiveness at low concentrations (0.5 and 1.0 mg/L).

The stability of water environment is closely related to the success of aquaculture. However, in actual aquaculture processes, water imbalance often occurs due to high stocking density and excessive feed residues. Therefore, water treatment and bottom modification operations are frequently conducted in aquaculture production. The most common and effective method is to add oxidants to rapidly oxidize harmful substances in water. Potassium monopersulfate, as an oxidant, plays an important role in water treatment and bottom modification operations in aquaculture.
